Literal, per-word translation breaks interfaces — a string that fits perfectly in English can overflow a button in Norwegian, and tone that reads right in a manual reads stiff in a product. Localisation is also rarely a single static file: it's an ongoing set of UI strings, help content and marketing copy that grows with the product. That's genuinely too variable to flat-price the way a single document is, and we say so plainly rather than inventing an instant SKU that wouldn't hold up once the actual string set arrived.
This service is for Norwegian SMEs and scale-ups taking a product or site into English (or the reverse), and for smaller, well-defined string sets we do price per 500-word block like our other language services. For anything larger than roughly 20,000 words or an ongoing UI/marketing workflow, request a quote — we scope it and reply the same working day, rather than leaving you waiting on an unscoped "contact us."

Why is this the only service without an instant price?
Because it genuinely isn't a fixed-size job — the same "localise our app" request can mean 500 words or 50,000, in a file format that varies every time. We'd rather scope it honestly than publish a number that wouldn't survive contact with your actual string set.
How fast do I get a quote?
Same working day, once we can see the actual string set or file structure — request a quote and attach or describe what you're working with.
Can I just order small blocks myself without a quote?
Yes — for well-defined sets under roughly 20,000 words, add 500-word blocks to your cart directly, the same as any other language service.
Do you handle right-to-left languages or pluralisation rules?
Tell us the target language and file format when you request a quote — we'll flag anything (RTL layout, plural forms, gendered strings) that needs special handling before we scope the price.
