ABOUT

About Thompson Translations

Thompson Translations is a translation and language-services agency based in Oslo, working with people submitting documents to Norwegian and foreign authorities, and with businesses across Oslo's energy, maritime, legal, finance, healthcare and technology sectors.

METHOD

Quality method

Every order follows the same two-stage method: a translator working in the relevant subject area produces the translation, then a second, independent linguist checks it against the source before it's delivered. For document sets, we build a translation-memory base so a term translated once is applied identically every time it recurs — not re-decided document by document. A signed NDA is available on request for legal, medical or financial matters, at no extra charge.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality & data handling

Your files are seen only by the translator and reviewer assigned to your order, are stored no longer than needed to deliver and support the order, and are handled under Norwegian and EU/EEA data-protection law (GDPR). Full detail, including your rights and how to exercise them, is in our Privacy Policy.

HONESTY

We don't publish a testimonial or a number we can't stand behind.

You won't find star ratings, a client logo wall, or a “trusted by thousands” line on this site — not because we don't have satisfied clients, but because we'd rather show you the rate card, the process and the certification explainer than ask you to take our word for it.

See how the process works, or get straight to a price.
